1. Introduction and scope
This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how Nomisma LLC (“Nomisma,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information collected through the Aiino website at aiino.ai and its subdomains (the “Website”).
This Policy applies only to the Website. It does not cover the Aiino mobile app or any other Aiino product, which are governed by separate policies:
- App Privacy Policy: Available in the app and at Privacy Policy
- Terms of Use: Available at Terms of Use
Aiino is a learning app for children aged 3 to 9. This Website is intended for parents, guardians, and other adults aged 18 or older, located in the United States. It is not directed to children. The Website is globally reachable, but it is built for US users; if you access it from outside the US, see Section 14.
By using the Website, submitting a form, taking the quiz, or otherwise giving us information, you confirm you have read and understood this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website or submit information through it.
2. Who we are
The company responsible for information collected through the Website is:
Nomisma LLC
2450 Peralta Ave, Fremont, CA, USA
Contact: info@aiino.ai
Nomisma LLC decides why and how your information is handled (in legal terms, the “data controller”) for information collected through the Website.
3. Quick summary
This summary is for convenience only. The full Policy below controls.
- We collect only the information you give us through our forms and quiz. We do not collect your IP address or browser/user-agent.
- We never collect your child's name, photo, or identity through this Website — at most a general age band.
- We use a first-party (in-house) analytics ID. Once you submit your email, that ID can be linked to you, so your path through the site can be reconstructed. We do not sell this or use it for outside advertising.
- We use your information to respond to you, deliver what you requested, and — with your consent — send occasional updates.
- We do not sell your personal information. We use a small number of service providers (such as AWS and Cloudflare) to run the site.
- We store data on AWS servers in the United States and automatically delete it after set retention periods.
- You may unsubscribe, withdraw consent, or request deletion at any time.
4. Information we collect
a. The forms we operate and what each collects
| Form / feature | Information collected | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| Founding member signup | Name, email, city (optional), child age band, consent | Register founding membership; send confirmation and updates | Up to 24 months |
| AI Readiness Quiz | Quiz answers, calculated result (archetype), name, email, consent | Generate and deliver your result | Up to 12 months |
| Anonymous quiz completion | Completion event and result type only (no name or email) | Understand which results are most common | Up to 90 days |
We also record which website referred you to us (the “referer”), to understand our traffic sources (see Section 4c).
b. Information you provide directly
Depending on the form, this may include your name, email, city (optional), a child's age band, your quiz answers, and your consent. We never ask for or collect a child's name through the Website.
c. Information collected automatically
When you visit the Website, we record which website referred you to us (the “referer”), to understand where our traffic comes from. We do not collect or store your IP address or browser/user-agent.
d. Quiz information
When you take the AI Readiness Quiz, we collect your answers, the result calculated from them (a general learning “archetype”), and your name and email so we can send the full result. You — the adult — complete it about your child's general learning style. It is informational only; it is not a medical, psychological, or developmental assessment or diagnosis.
e. Anonymous completion data
When a quiz is completed, we record that a completion happened and which result it produced — with no name, email, or other identifying information.
f. Browser storage and identifiers
We store a randomly generated ID (aiino_anon) in your browser's local storage. We use it to understand how visitors use the Website. If you later submit a form, this ID can be linked to your submission — meaning your activity on the site can be connected to you. More detail is in Section 7.
5. Information we do not collect
Through this Website we do not collect: any information that identifies your child (no name, photo, exact date of birth, school, or precise geographic location — at most a general age band, and never a name); payment card or financial account details (the Website does not process payments); government identifiers; biometric data; your IP address; or your browser/user-agent. We do not use third-party advertising networks or behavioral tracking technologies to collect your personal information.
(We accept an optional city you choose to provide — see Section 4. This is self-provided, not precise location data. We do not log your IP address.)
6. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- respond to your enquiries and communications;
- deliver what you requested (such as a founding-membership confirmation or your quiz result);
- with your consent, send occasional updates about Aiino, our launch, and your founding membership;
- operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Website;
- prevent, detect, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and unlawful activity;
- understand how the Website is used; and
- comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We only send marketing emails to people who have opted in, and every such email includes an unsubscribe link. We do not use your information for purposes incompatible with those above. If we want to use it for a materially different purpose, we will update this Policy and, where required, ask for your consent.
9. Data storage, security, and location
We store data collected through the Website on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure located in the United States. Information is held in access-controlled databases.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including least-privilege access controls, rate limiting on public endpoints, monitoring and alerting, and authentication on administrative interfaces. Email is sent using authenticated, verified sending (SPF, DKIM, and DMARC).
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by applicable law.
10. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this Policy, after which our systems automatically delete it:
- Founding member signup data (leads): up to 24 months
- Quiz data: up to 12 months (kept for a shorter period because it relates to children)
- Anonymous completion / event logs: up to 90 days
- Proof-of-deletion records: up to 24 months — and these contain only an anonymous, hashed proof that a deletion request was honored, never your personal information itself
We may keep certain information longer where required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, or enforce our agreements.
11. Your rights and choices
You may do the following at any time:
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any such email.
- Withdraw consent to our processing. Withdrawing consent does not undo processing already done, and does not require us to delete data we are permitted or required to keep.
- Request deletion of your data using the secure signed link included in our emails, or by contacting info@aiino.ai. When we delete your data, we keep only an anonymous, hashed proof that the deletion was completed (see Section 10) — never your personal information.
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
To protect your privacy, we may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We respond within the timeframe required by applicable law, and otherwise within a reasonable period.
12. California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, this section applies to you.
Notice at collection
We collect the following categories of personal information through the Website:
| Category (CCPA) | Examples we collect | Purpose | Sold / shared? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | Name, email | Respond to you, deliver requests, send consented updates, security | No |
| Internet/network activity | Referer, aiino_anon ID, in-site activity | Understand site usage, security | No |
| Geolocation (approximate) | Optional city you provide | Understand traffic, deliver service | No |
| Inferences | Quiz result “archetype” | Generate and deliver your quiz result | No |
We retain each category as described in Section 10. We do not sell or “share” (as defined under the CPRA) your personal information, and have not done so in the preceding 12 months.
Your California rights
You have the right to: know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect and why; access that information; delete it; correct inaccuracies; and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To exercise any of these, contact info@aiino.ai. We may need to verify your identity. You may also use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, subject to verification.
13. Children's privacy
This Website is intended for parents, guardians, and other adults aged 18 or older. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the Website.
Some forms and the quiz ask the adult for limited information about their child — at most a general age band, plus quiz answers describing the child's general learning style. This information is provided by the adult, not collected from the child, and we never collect a child's name, photo, or other identifying details through the Website.
If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Website, contact us at info@aiino.ai and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
Our handling of children's data inside the Aiino app is governed by our separate Children's Privacy Notice and COPPA Notice. Aiino follows COPPA guidelines.
14. International users and data transfer
This Website is intended for users in the United States, and we store and process data in the United States.
If you access the Website from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. By using the Website, you consent to this transfer and processing, subject to applicable law and the protections in this Policy.
If you access the Website from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you may have rights under the GDPR or UK GDPR — including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability, and the right to complain to a supervisory authority. The EEA/UK is not currently a target market for Aiino. To raise any such request, contact info@aiino.ai.
15. Third-party links
The Website may contain links to third-party websites, applications, or services we do not own or control, including app stores and social media platforms. This Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or security. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.
16. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the updated Policy here with a new effective date (see Section 2) and, where appropriate, notify subscribers by email. Your continued use of the Website after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
